Awarded the Artist Diploma from the École Normale de Musique “Alfred Cortot”, Chiara De Grandis is an Italian flutist based in Paris, where she develops her career as a chamber musician, and orchestral performer. Passionate about modern repertoire, she regularly collaborates as a flutist and piccolo player with the Ensemble Plein Jeu, founded in 2022 and conducted by Marion André.
Graduate from a Master’s degree at Conservatorio “E.F. Dall'Abaco” in Verona, she joined Jean Ferrandis' class at the ENMP in 2018, discovering the French flute school. Chiara earned her Master of Arts in 2021, during which she explored the connections between Debussy and Takemitsu, particularly their representation of nature and silence in composition.
A prizewinner in several national and international competitions, Chiara has performed as a soloist and in chamber music across Italy, France, and Lithuania. She is also dedicated to teaching as a flute professor at the Conservatoire de Saint-Denis and the Cité des Arts de Viry-Châtillon.
